Deleting Webpart from Virtual server gallery webpart list

I deployed one web part with different versions in GAC. Later i used the stsadm command and deleted the webpart. And also I went to GAC and deleted all the versions.

When I select modify shared page>add webpart >virtual server gallery> still those webparts are coming in the list.,

but when I go to site settings>go to site administration > manage webpart gallery>new webpart , here webpart is not listed.

Can anyone suggest how to remove webparts from the virtual server gallery webpart list?

They are stored as DWP files in the /wpcatalog directory of the web server… you could delete them from there if you’ve done everything else.

Also check %drive%:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wpresources

I'm sorry I copied the wrong path. It's%drive%:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wpcatalog, but the problem has been solved.
