Default names modification of quick launch bar

  Asked By: Bob Bolton         Date: Apr 24, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 252

I currently don't have FrontPage 2003 and am using Dreamweaver to
edit sharepoint.

Is there a way to modify the default names of the quick launch.

Example:
Documents--->change to "Employee Information"
Lists------->change to "Corporate Information"
Discussions->change to "Debates"

I can manaully do this on the default.aspx page via dreamweaver but
i want to do this in once and once only as is if you select the
word "documents" it takes you to the "viewlsts.aspx" page and under
select a view it still reads "Document Libraries" as well as the
word "lists".

If noone knows how to do this in dreamweaver its fine but if you do
know how to do it in frontpage 2003 then please post and I will just
spend the 100-200 bucks for frontpage to make my life more easier.

You can modify the default.aspx for the site definition in the 60 Hive on the file system of your WSS v2 Web Server. This ASPX page can be modified using Notepad.
