Default Landing page for /ManagedPath/[Nothing]

Asked By: Rachel    Date: Oct 09    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1585

I have a managed path /home/ in my SharePoint installation. I would like
users to get a redirection page (or an error page) when they navigate
straight to /home/ instead they get a blank page at the URL:

1) Did I break something that made the page be blank instead of
give me an error

2) How can I replace this with some meaningful content?

3) Is it possible to place a redirector or landing page in the
limbo region between the /ManagedPath/ [and the] /Sitecollection/

This is because home is a wildcard managed  path. There is no way that I
know of to redirect users to another page  when they use this address.
For SharePoint it is simply an invalid address.

Well, you can something like IIRF. It is a free ISAPI filter that
lets you redirect the incoming URL. Install it as a filter above
SharePoint filter in IIS and just put the mapping in the ini file and
you are good to go.

Look at IIRF : http://cheeso.members.winisp.net/IIRF.aspx
