Datasheet View for a Photo Library

Asked By: Alec Morrow         Date: Nov 19, 2009      Category: MOSS      Views: 245

Does anyone know of a way to create a datasheet-like view for a photo library
easily? (Or some tool/web part/add-on that will do it?)

Our public relations department has loaded 4,000+ photos into a site and now
needs to tag them (keywords, description, etc.)

In a perfect world I'd like them to be able to enter text and see a thumbnail.
An ok solution would be the file name and the fields they need to edit.

I can make a custom view or do something in visual studio if I must but before I
went to that trouble I thought I'd check here and see if anyone knew of any
quick ways to do this without custom work...

create a new Picture Library, upload all the pictures. Select whether the
full picture needs to be displayed or you only need the Thumbnail to be
displayed (picture field properties). Play with views. Finally you will get
what you want.
