Data Privacy option in IE and Sharepoint

Asked By: Stephanie Wilson         Date: Dec 16, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 173

Have a WSS 3.0 site that is using FBA. Wanted to implement the save
password option with the use of cookies, but there are some client web
browsers that have set their security level at level high. This will
not allow the cookies to be stored without user intervention. Is there
anyway to develop or something on the back end to push this through?

It's the Data Privacy section of IE.

Not really - what you are trying to do is insecure by nature (and a
common exploit vector in the past), which is why it's getting blocked by
High security.

Think about it, would you want sites to be able to
change the security  settings on your PC?
