You can find the main Dashboard and sub-dash content  in the Portal
folder which is hidden by default. The dasboard folder  only contans
personal Dashboard or other.

I was using spps  licensed version, for which i have taken workspace  backup
and trying to restore on Licensed version.
DashBoards are not visible from the shortcut  on MyNetworkPlaces, which are
visible from the portal site.
(which also have custom dashboards)
Can any please help  me out, this is an urgent requirement for us.

It depends what dashboards  you're trying to view, I beleive the 'Dashboards'
folder that you view through My Network Places only contains Personal
dashboards (i.e. it mirrors the dashboards folder  that you access through
the Document library). I seem to recall not being able to see Personal
dashboards in here from time to time, but I never got to the bottom of this.

But there should be some means to set the user permissions to the
dashboards, so that some dashboards  can be made visible to particular logged
in users only.
I am not able to recollect from where the permissions for the dashboards are
set.

When you created  the web folder, are you using the NetBIOS name or the
FQDN pointing to your SharePoint Server?

Steps :

1. Installed Licensed SPPS
2. Created a dummy workspace
3. Restored the workspace  backup.

The old machine  name and new machine name are the same..
