Customizing

Asked By: Nishita    Date: Jan 19    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 691

I have just started to use Sharepoint and am stuck at the start. Can
any one please tell me how to start customizing/programming the built-
in web parts.
I have looked at VB Script in the embedded content, but am lost. Is
there any kind of tutorial or anything to let me get started.
Thanks in advance.

I have not worked with the vbscripts so far but you can try what we are
currently doing if it is only concerning the content  of the webpart. Just
use good old html-files that you have created with any html-editor and then
store it in some folder underneath the Portal Content Folder then copy this
link into the webpart under the relevant point. Be sure to have chosen as
Content Source HTML. Your webpart will then show the content on the
frontend.

I hope this is of some help. If you want to customize the webparts
themselves - I have no clue sorry.
