if anyone can help
I'm using sharepoint portar server 2001
My boss wants to customize the quick links so it'll not be a text but a picture
link and he will not allow users to add in
It'll be only under IT departement admin.

Add the attached dwp webpart in management dashboard,
Modify the profile of weblinks or create a new profile and assign that
profile to the quick  links folder by adding a new property in the profile to
take the text  as url,
In the webcontent of the webpart u can modify the xsl to render you as a
Picture instead of the text

you can check http://www.xmlfiles.com/examples/ ,
http://www.w3.org/Style/XSL/
http://www.xmlfiles.com/links/default.asp#W3C

Url is the property name , the property type will be text  itself,
i suggest u use the same weblink profile, just instead of title text u need
to give the path of the image
i will look into the code and if possible if i will modify it across and
send the xsl to you
