Customize HP in SPS2003

Asked By: Theresa    Date: Dec 10    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 774

could anyone tell me how to customize home page in SPS2003, please? I'm
trying to add some links in the left vertical bar, to delete some of the
original links but it doesn't work well. I' m using Frontpage 2003.
More, I'm trying to put a document library in the middle zone of a
subweb (Sharepoint Services): using the previous version you can do it
pretty easily: now I'm not able to find out how to do it.

The main portal page  does not have any wizard-driven link modifications
components through Front Page 2003 like WSS sites. The horizontal bar  can
only be customized by modifying top-level topics. There's nothing stopping
you from adding HTML links  wherever you like, but they won't "cascade"
through other portal pages. The left  and top navigation bars in WSS sites
are fully customizable though - you can add  or delete  links and they will
propagate throughout the site.

As for adding a Document Library web part to a page, that can be done via
the existing web interface or within Front Page 2003.
