Has anyone had or needed to create a custom site defintion and wanted
to include the MOSS 2007 webparts? I can see that the normal MOSS 2007
site definitions have the feature premiumsitestapling as a way to
include all the MOSS features.

Example of needs We want to create a custom site defintion for the
current MOSS 2007 Pusblishing Definition that has been customized for
our needs.

I have created three sites using custom  site definitions.
In addition, after these sites were created, I had to do a stsadm -o
backup and restore operation to a different web application and host
header on the same server as the original site. (I also shut down the
original site  in IIS).
When I restored the portal to the new web app and new url, everything
in the site was as it should be with the exception of these three sites.

I get an http 404 not found error when trying to access these sites.

I looked in web.config and everything seems correct.
The custom site definitions  still reside in the \12\template\site
templates\ directory as they should and they haven't been modified as
far as I can tell. The corresponding folders in the \1033\ directory
and the \1033\xml\ directories haven't been modified either..

Does anyone have any ideas?
