custom property in the search dropdown

Asked By: Alexandria Kim         Date: Apr 11, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 246

I have a custom property "urn:schemas-microsoft-
com:office:office#MyDate" which is mapped to a libary column whose type
is "Date and Time". However, in the search page's dropdowns, this
porperty appears as a "text" type. I can see this because its predicate
logic is "contains" rather than "later than/earlier than"... is there
any way to get around this?

I believe that "Date and Time" fields are stored as text.
