custom lists

Asked By: Kara    Date: Jan 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 735

Working with custom lists and tying them together with other custom lists I
am trying to filter by lookup (information already on this site) and trying
to pull in data from columns on another custom list. The only thing that
shows up is client name and ID even though I have 6 custom columns setup in
the initial custom list. Shouldn't I be able to pull data in from any custom
column from another list or is this only going to let me select client name
and ID?

What column type are those that don't appear? Lookup columns  can only reference
certain ones...

Other "choice" and "lookup" columns  are not available it seems.. I get it..

So if I drop in Text Columns instead, any other custom  list will be able to
look it up maybe?

How About option buttons and that kinda junk because what I want to try and
avoid is everyone "making up" and inserting their own text. It would be much
easier to select  from radio buttons or drop downs to keep it simple.

I'm really close to coming up with our poor mans solution here.
