Custom list that pull from another custom list and sorting

I have developed some custom list one of the custom list pulls values
from another custom list. On the list that pulls from the other custom
list it does show a drop-down with the values, but is there a way to
sort that pull to only show certain values.

I assume you are using a standard Lookup column. Is so then it can't be
filtered. You can do it with a custom field type for the column.
