Does anybody have seen the following error: I got this when I tried to create a
new document from the add new item drop down. Also this is on the same library
that some of our users have the page layout display error.
here is the error:
The document could not be created.
The required application may not be installed properly, or the template for this
document library can not be opened.
Please try the following:
1. Check the General settings for this document library for the name of the
template, and install the application necessary for opening the template. If the
application was set to install on first use, run the application and try
creating a new document again.
2. If you have permission to modify this document library, go to general
settings for the library and configure a new template.
OK button.
Is this saying the template is corrupted? Could this happen if someone try to
attach a workflow to this library?
I am the administrator and have no display issues. But few other users have the
display issue on this library. When I create another library on the same site I
can add new documnets as usual. But the same set of users have the display
error. Display error means the page appears without applying CSS.
