Creating a list for tracking projects

I have uploaded a simple Excel spreadsheet into SharePoint. The list contains Project ID, Project names and then subsequent due dates for various processes (around 7 date entries per row) containing dates that we need to track.

I have so far found out that SharePoint wont allow you to set up alerts for those dates, and that you cannot view all these multiple dates within SharePoint Calendar.

No I am wandering if SharePoint is really good for what I want to do! All I need is to be able to keep track of the dates per project to help me to flag when the next process is due. How can I do this within SharePoint?
