Created an Archived News Area

I need to provide a way to get to expired/archived news to end users.

Does anyone know of a way to create a place that my end users can go in and look for Archived News? Right now I find a place where I can map a view to “Archived” or “Expired” news listing.

Or can I create a search scope that just search against news?
