How do I create a site definition in WSS 3.0?

Asked By: Jill Wells         Date: Dec 21, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 317

I have one I am using in WSS 2.0 and want to move it over to a 3.0
site, does anyone know how-to do this? Mostly it's the top and left
nav bars, I wrote my own .NET controls that replaced the standard ones
in Version 2 and I want to use those same controls in Version 3.0.

Finally found a good article on how-to do site  definitions in v 3.0,
I thought I would share it with the group, since I didn't get an
answer back I am guessing not many people know how-to do this yet.

FYI, the article is for MOSS 2007 but I think the same applies for
WSS 3.0.
