How do you create a Personal view in V3.0 +MOSS like you could in V2

In V2.0 you could create your own Personal View that allowed you to add
or delete web parts found in the Shared View.

In V3.0 with MOSS installed, I see no way to do this. The only thing
you can do of a personal nature is create a MY SITE. However, MY SITE
does not let you install any of the web parts found in its parent site.

Any ideas?

Go to the Welcome menu at the top of the page and select personalize
this page.
