Create a new Pages Library in Sharepoint

Asked By: Chase Davis         Date: Mar 03, 2009      Category: MOSS      Views: 398

In News site in Collaboration template in MOSS, All news pages are stored in a Pages Library. How do I group the news if I have hundreds of news? If I am able to create a new Pages Library then I can drag a Content Query Web part and have content from the newly created Pages Library. But I couldn't find a way to create a Pages Library. How can I create a Pages Library in a sharepoint site?

you have two options:
1) Make your new column a Site Column, then it will appear in the CQWP filter dropdowns (easiest and I think the best way)
2) Export the CQWP and modify the .webpart file (to much work, but it will give you even more control of the result)
