After a fresh install of MOSS 2007, i tried setting up a new SSP. Thispage contains the error: "No Indexers" and my drop-down for the IndexServer setting is empty. Anyone know how I can setup an Index Serverso i can continue setting up my deployment???
From Central Administration, Operations, Services on Server, start theSearch Service.
You need to assign an index server by configuring the search service inthe Central Administration website. On the home page of the centraladmin. site select which server you want to host the service on underfarm topology. Click on the Office SharePoint Server Search Service andassign the index role to the server.
