Create Enhanced folders

  Asked By: Isabel    Date: Oct 10    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1022

Is there a way to create enhanced folder via commandline (or scripts) in
SharePoint?

And are there a way to get a list of all folders/files in SharePoint written
to a file?

You can use PKMCDO to create  folders. Check out the SPS SDK.

You can execute a deep traversal Search via WebDAV or ADO to dump a list
of the documents folder  tree. Again check out the SDK for examples...

This is the code for the enhanced  folder
Dim oF as New PKMCDO.KnowledgeFolder

oF.Contentclass = "urn:content-classes:smartfolder"

oF.Authors=Array("johndoe")

oF.Editors=Array("janedoe")

oF.Readers=Array("jackdoe")

oF.Approvers=Array("johndoe", "janedoe")

oF.Coordinators=Array("jilldoe", "janedoe")

oF.Datasource.SaveTo "http://localhost/SharePoint Portal
Server/content/enhancedfolder1"

Using this code you can get the list  of folders  and items
Dim oF as PKMCDO.KnowledgeFolder

Dim oRS as ADODB.Recordset

Set oF = (some already bound IKNowledgeFolder interface)

Set oRS = oF.Subfolders

While Not oRS.EOF

Debug.Print oRS.Fields("DAV:href")

oRS.MoveNext

Wend

Set oRS = oF.Items

While Not oRS.EOF

Debug.Print oRS.Fields("DAV:href")

oRS.MoveNext

Wend
