Crawled Property for Site Column not showing up

I am trying to map a crawled property to a site column called
ProjectNum so I can search by ProjectNum. I have done a full crawl, and
ows_ProjectNum will not show up in the list of crawled properties. If
you have any ideas, I would appreciate them.
