A couple of questions

Asked By: Abhilasha    Date: Nov 26    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 812

On lists I noticed that some of the fields are yellow. What does that

Also, is there a way to change what field will open a list when in a
view? For example, I've installed the Call Center template from the fab
40. When viewing all customers, the 'link' to open a specific customer
is Last Name. How can I change that to another item like Company?

Sorry if the questions are remedial...still learning!

If you can't use the Title field, there's a generic "Edit" icon you can place in
the view. I use this all the time to allow the user to edit the item.

The yellow fields  still have me stumped though...couldn't find anything
on Google either....

Thanks to the advice from this group I've been able to get my MOSS test
environment accessible from the internet. I'm almost there so.

However there are a couple  of issues when I connect externally. One is
I get the security warning "This page contains both secure and nonsecure
items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?" message on every
page. I have a cert on the default web site in IIS. What step(s) have
I missed in my config that will get rid of the warning?

The other issue is that a logo on the top of all pages appears when
accessing the site internally but it doesn't when accessing it from the
outside. Is this related to the security warning at all?

That warning pops up on SSL pages where there are any nonsecure linked
resources. Do you have any custom links, CSS/Javascript, iframes, etc.
specified at http instead of https?

The site is pretty empty...just default SharePoint stuff. It turns out
that removing the logo fixed things. I had been getting the logo loaded
from outside the site (from a share on the same computer). So I'll use
SP Designer and put it in the right way and I should be OK.
