Corporate Calendar webpart, accessible by all users

  Asked By: Josiah    Date: May 15    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1343

In "My Site", it gives the user the ability to add a calaendar
webpart
linked to an Exchange account.

What i want to do is add something similar to my portal, but
detailing corporate events/meetings etc that all staff can see, but
not edit.

I've created an Exchange 2003 account and mailbox etc for the
calendar entry to be stored and given Domain Users Read Only access.
My Problem is that when a user logs onto the portal and try to view
this calendar, they're prompted for a login and cannot view the
calendar under their own credentials.

Is there a way of making this calendar available to all users or can
anyone suggest another way of accomplishing what i want to do.

Sure, as long as everyone looking at the page has permissions to the
public folder.

You can use one of the OWAPart Web Part. Just specify the Exchange
folder name, the OWA Mail server address (without the exchange  virtual
directory), and the mailbox (public).
