Copyng documents to CD

Asked By: Teddy Weeks         Date: Dec 23, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 145

we have a client who wants to install SPS in order to manage their
quality procedures and documentation.

They have different locations AND -here we go...-, mobile units not
connected to Internet but needing to access to that documentation.

Is there any comfortable way to timely backup last versions of each
document on the portal to CD? Maybe something on V2?

That copy should be easily explorable.

I thought I read somewhere that there was going to be some integration with SPS
and Groove (www.groove.net) and that this would include some offline
capabilities.

Check out this link: http://www.groove.net/about/microsoft/sharepoint-msi.html

Also check out http://www.iora.com.

iOra can be used to take Sharepoint offline and can be configured to re-sync
everytime the mobile  units re-connect to the network on which SPS is
running.

Have you tried this tool? If you did, do you recommend it?
