Coping from one directory to another

I have a tif file that is 50 megs.
I cant copy it from one sharepoint document library to another.

I can open it up (40 pages) in sharepoint and
I can save it when it is open to my desktop and then upload it.

Is there a limit as to document or picture moves. Any ideas?

In sharepoint you have size limit when uploading documents.

Is there any chance that when document uploaded for the first time the limit is
over 50Megs and then someone decresed it to let's say 40Megs?

The limit has been 100 megs for a while. The size of the document has
not changed.

I was able to delete some of the pages from the tif to make it
smaller and could move it from directory to directory (it is now 45
megs).

anyone have any ideas as to what would cause this? Is this abuilt in
limit?

No it is not a built-in configuration.

The limit is configurable and it is per Item.
