Content Types in 2007 & 2010

Many of our sites use Content Types (predominantly folder and document). We are
moving sites from SP 2007 to 2010. Are there any issues migrating current 2007
CTs to 2010?

Would also appreciate Best Practice advice on what to avoid now in 2007 with
CTs.

Migrating content types via in-place or database upgrade should work fine in
migrating all of your existing content types.

The only thing you should consider in your migration is perhaps having a
centrally managed site collection (using the Managed Metadata Service and
Content Type hubs) where all of your main content types are housed which can
then be published to all sites that need them.
