My content type documents stored

Asked By: Madhu    Date: Jan 20    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 828

I have created a content type and have update the template multiple
times with diffent docs. I noticed in each doc lib that uses the
content type, there is folder for each content type that contains the
template and my custom dip panel.

What is wierd, within the doc lib, it copies ALL of the templates that
I ever uploaded for that cotent type. How do I Clean house?

It also appears now that I have created custom dips and are using
multple content types in 1 doc lib, it gets confused whe I do New. I
get the correct template, but it thinks it is a different content
type...therefore showing the wrong dip and saves as the wrong content
type.

I have found where the multiple templates  were stored  and have
cleaned them up.

However, it did not seem to fix my problem. It seems that if do a
content type  with a doc template  and dont mess with the dip, I am
ok. It is when I customized the dip  in infopath and associate
multiple content  types into one library...and have to make a
change....is when things start to fall apart.

Anyone seen something similar?

I haven't seen a custom  dip do this before. Does the default
content type  work correctly?
