Content Source of the STS

Asked By: Candice    Date: Jan 30    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1201

I have two server. One with SPS SP1 and the other with STS.
I want to make a content source of the STS in the SPS. I followed the
instructions in SPS SP1 readme file to index STS.

When I make the index, If I use de TCP Port 80 and I index
STS://servername This works correctly.
But I need to use other Port 8383, and When I put in the content
STS://servername:8383 it gives me this error:
Error fetching URL, (80041201 - The object was not found. )

i am having a content  source pointing to the sts  site (http://intranet:8555)
, it works  fine with it, i am able to index  it and get the results.
why dont you try once more by deleting the content source  and making it once
again , and secondly check the acess permission to acess the sts
