Content By Query Help

Asked By: Ronald    Date: Aug 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 819

Does anyone know how to add a custom site column into the Additional
Filters drop-down list on a content query web part? I have added 2
new custom site columns, added them to a content type, but they are
not showing up in the filter drop-down.

Figured it out...I was trying to filter  by a site  column that was set
up as "mulitple lines of text." Apparently, this type  of column  cannot
be filtered. I've read that Date/Time might also not work.

To filter  on date/time, create a calculated column  based on the date
time (today +/- some value) and filter on the calculated column.

Please note that only certain column  types work. For instance,
the "multiple lines of text" DOES NOT work.
