Content Editor Webpart - Cannot retrieve properties

Asked By: Tyson Walters         Date: Nov 24, 2007      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 673

We are currently using an F5 to load balance. Proxy settings within
Central Admin and the web config of the website are set and working
properly. No IPs are assigned on any websites (including advanced
SSL).

There are several pages within my site using the content editor web
part. I receive the error cannot "Cannot retrieve properties"
whenever I try to modify content within a Content Editor webpart.

If I remove the F5 and create a host entry directory to one of my
two WFE - it works. If I use Firefox and the F5 it works.

Two questions.

1) Is anyone using content editor webparts and Microsoft Load
balancing? I would like to eliminate the question in the back of my
mind if the Content Editor webpart works at all in a load balanced
environment.

2) Anyone have other ideas I can try? I don't believe our build
staff will appreciate installing firefox to edit content on 20+
pages.
