Content Editor web part not working in new installation (WSS)

We have a new installation of WSS and SPS 2003 on a new server. We were previously running the Beta 2 Technical Refresh.

In our new installation the Content Editor web part is not working. After entering something into the Rich text Editor and pressing Save, it responds "Cannot retrieve properties at this time", then "Cannot save your changes".

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

I have bumped into several issues with an upgrade from Beta 2 à Technical Refresh àRTM. Even if you do an uninstall, the clean-up isn’t complete. I’d suggest running this on a clean build and see if you have the same issues.

We installed Sharepoint on a clean Windows 2003 server from the CD.
