deployment.

I have -
Set the receiving farm "Accept Content deployment Jobs" to accept.
Created a new site in the receiving farm to receive the content.
Created a Content deployment path that defines the source and
destination, apparently correctly.
Run the job using Quick deploy.
The job runs fine and after a minute or so the status goes to success.
The deployment report comes up with all the right sort of data. It
deployed 18 objects which sounds about right (I have about 12 or so
sites in the site). No errors or warnings.
However, the content size is reported as 0 MB, and no files/content is
actually transferred.

I can't see what I am doing wrong. Any ideas of whats wrong, or how to
diagnose?
