I have a contact web part that I import from my Outlook. Is there anyway to have
this updated automatically from Active Directory?

I thought doing a full/increment update on the profile database will update
this web part, but it does not. It only updates my contact information when a
user clicks on my name.

We had this problem in my environment. Th sync between enterprise directory and
the sharepoint DB wasn't working automatically as it should work.

When contacted Microsoft, they said its a design flaw. Not sure about your
environment. Better log a MS call.

It does not sync. It is a one way copy, no sync mechanism is in place.

Profile will get updated by doing updates on profile database for obvious
reaon.
