Connecting WSS Library to Outlook

Asked By: Griffin    Date: Nov 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1097

We are trying to integrate a process that was only email driven to a
process that integrates Outlook and WSS by capturing key info from
the Outlook Form and Public Library into a WSS Site.

If I link the form to the Shared Public folder, the fields of the
library will be mapped to the fields in the form and then these same
entries will populate the library. I hope.

The process is a heads up notification for new projects. Everyone
invited to work on the project is copied on the email and the data
communicated in the email is to be captured in the WSS team room.
Benefits of using sharepoint is the single point of capture, typing
the same info in several places is no longer required. We can plan
our resources better by seeing what projects are in process via the
calendar view. We can do trend reporting on the data collected.
Does anyone know how to do this?
