Connecting WebParts

Asked By: Oliver    Date: Jan 27    Category: MOSS    Views: 1011

This is easy one I'm trying to demonstrate for someone but cannot get it
to work right (something simple I am missing here).

I want to connect 2 web-parts together

LIST A: Cars

Honda

BMW

Ford

Lexus

Chevy

LIST B: Drivers

Bill Honda

Tom Chevy

Julie Honda

Judy BMW

Peg Chevy

Mike Ford

Jack BMW

Sam BMW

Tony Honda

This is an example, but is the basis for what I am trying to achieve.

- First, the car in list B associated with the driver is pulled
from a lookup field from List A

- Secondly:

o I am trying to put both these web parts on a page so that List A
appears as a radio-button list or drop-down box

o When the user selects a car type from List A (prefer a drop-down
box or radio button) the view on List B is filtered on that car type

o Example, so if I choose Honda from list A (or the drop-down) then
List B filters out and just shows me: Bill, Julie, and Tony

Does this make sense? I know this is simple but for the life of me I
cannot get it working in MOSS
