Configuring Single Sign-On...

Asked By: Hiral    Date: Feb 06    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 730

Can anyone point me to some detailed articles or posts concerning the
configuration of single sign-on?

I believe I have created the necessary accounts but when I try to set
the settings in the "Manage Server Settings for Single Sign-On" page, I
receive the error "You do not have the rights to perform this
operation." This sounds like a permission issue of some sort but I am
not sure what permission I am missing. Is there a checklist of sorts
to get this working?

Somehow, I got this working.

I logged in as the domain user that I created  to run the single  sign-on
service and to use in the server settings  page (instead of logging in
as an administrator). Doing this, everything seemed to work (or at
least it is letting me proceed to the next step).

Can anyone explain why this is the case (why logging in as an
administrator did not work)?
