I am having somewhat of a crisis, our SharePoint is having some kind
of a configuration error. We are running Small Business Server with
WSS and Exchange Server 2003 running on it. We have been running

That file doesn't seem to exist, all hidden files are shown and
search is coming up with nothing. Any suggestions?

I need some help on configuration  of SPS 2007.

The system that i am trying to install is joined to a domain. Exchange
server is also installed on the same machine. I do an SPS Enterprise edition
x64 installation - Basic. The installation goes through without any problem
but when SPS configuration wizard is run, i get a error  at the 4th step as
"Failed to secure the sharepoint  resources". An exception of type
system.invalidoperationexception was thrown. Additional exception
information: This access control list is not in canonical form and therefore
cannot be modified."

Can someone help me resolve this issues at the earliest as i have to setup
SPS urgently.

The only time I have seen this is when there is something
wrong with the SID of the computer. I have also seen this when I used
"Newsid" or "Sysprep" on the server  to generate a new SID for the server
before building it. I had to rebuild my server from scratch to fix it.
However I did experience an issue similar to this when running  the
configuration wizard the database server was configure using the wrong
collation. In this scenario I reconfigured the SQL Server. Hope this gives
you some ideas.
