Complete Site Listings

Asked By: Wayne    Date: Sep 19    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 705

We have "Self Site Creation" enabled for our domain users, and I am
struggling with finding the location within site administration that
will list all these sites. The only sites we see are those that are
created by the admin tool, or via Outlook 2003 (creating a site for
a meeting workplace).

Does anyone know how to view the list of all sites within a system?
I would think this is relatively easy.

There isn't anything in the browser UI to do this OOTB, but you can use the
command line stsadm.exe or the Object Model to do this.

Could fairly easily create a web part that will walk the list  and for
each top level site  in the list recursively iterated the sub sites  and
display them. This can be done using the WSS Api.

You may want to look at www.corasworks.com
for a solution.
