Hi, I am a novice user to Sharepoint and have been asked to see if I can change the column width of a list. I see the code listed here but don't know how to view the source code of a list. Can someone please help?Gratefully, NoviceUser
you can do this by using sharepoint designer.Open list in sharepoint designerConvert it to xslt and the increase width of the column u want.hope it helps
Be aware that using SharePoint designer to convert the list to xslt can break the grouping and sorting of your list view.Ethan BachInfowise Knowledge Solutionshttp://www.infowisesolutions.com
Lack of simple column width control is annoying, but perhaps a blessing in disguise. One crude way is to change the length of the column name; for wider columns make the name longer. eg; "Ph" or "Phone" or "Telephone Number" or even "Telephone . . . . Number"
