Hi, I am a novice user to Sharepoint and have been asked to see if I can change the column width of a list. I see the code listed here but don't know how to view the source code of a list. Can someone please help?

Gratefully, NoviceUser

Be aware that using SharePoint designer to convert the list  to xslt can break the grouping and sorting of your list view.

Lack of simple column  width control is annoying, but perhaps a blessing in disguise.
One crude way is to change  the length of the column name; for wider columns make the name longer. eg; "Ph" or "Phone" or "Telephone Number" or even "Telephone . . . . Number"
