Collaboration

Can people collaborate and work simultaneously on a Sharepoint
(services) Shared Documents (Using Office 2003)? This does not seem
intuitive.

You can merge changes back. So in theory this is possible.

As long as it's not checked out yes, but that doesn't mean that any edits
you make will be seen "live" as each person is just opening a copy
On their local desktop.

why do u guys copy anbd paste it on ur desktop, open
it from the browser then u will receive the updates
and also could put in the updates at the same time,
and everything will be merged in the end

it seems interesting, but i didn't work  well now.

microsoft purchases grove ,it would be come ture in the next version.
