CMS features of Sharepoint 2007 to retrieve simple text or html

Asked By: Helen    Date: Nov 04    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1068

We are using a third party web application that allows custom content to be
placed in specific areas of a page that help identify things or to give help to
the end users. This system has a simple CMS bult into it but also allows for
external content via a URL.Since all things in a doc or page library can be
accessed via a URL, I want to use share point as the CMS. I have tried two
options, storing content as a word doc and storing content as a basic page. The
problem is the browser always tries to open word where I would just like the
content of the word doc or always wraps a master page around page content.I
would like to store rich text or basic html in sharepoint and be able to retieve
it back in the same format.Suggestions?

Maybe try saving the work doc as HTML. This should probably work to keep it in
the same format.
