We've had SharePoint Portal Server 2003 a couple of years now, and
some months back we upgraded (in-place upgrade) to MOSS 2007.
After this we have startet to see a lot of problems with alerts not
being sent out. Could it be an option to do a full backup of the
porta and format the whole server and do a clean install of MOSS2007
on this newly formatted server and then restore the portal back
again? Would there be any complications? Are there any specific
considerations we should take if and when we do this?
