I have added a custom property in profiles. The user updates this property via the Edit Profile form on My Site.
Is there any way to increase the length of this custom property without loosing the data that users have already entered in their profiles??

I have tried to do edit the property by going into Site Settings>Manage Profile Database>view profile propeties>Edit property.
But the length field for this property is greyed out. I cannot edit it.

Any help is appreciated.
