Changing the "home" in the tab/browser title

When I go to my Shareploint 2007 site the tab displays the site name as
home - home. if I click on a different sub site/portal page I get home -
team (where team is the name of the portal site.

How can I change the "Home - " to the actual name we have given our
system?

Go to the "Pages" library on the site. Edit the properties of the
welcome page. You'll notice that by default, the Title field says
"Home". That's where you can change it.
