Changing the font characteristics in webpart

Asked By: Jefferson    Date: Mar 30    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 5605

I have seen some post on how to change the font characterstics of web
part title but none on the fonts that form the body of web parts. I am
looking at changing the color of the fonts as well as the color when
you hover mouse over it.

Also for a webpart if I select the frame style to "Title Bar and
Border" under appearance heading, I do not see any border around the
web part.

Here are the style  rules for the web  part body  fonts. You will need to
copy these from OWS.css and into a custom style sheet so you can
override the settings.

.ms-vb: text and links in general for the site
.ms-vh: column headers
a.ms-addnew: links to add new items
a:hover.ms-addnew: hover  state for links to add new items

As for the web part  border, I have noticed the same thing but I have
never dug into why. I am sure it is some clash in style rules.

Here's a list of all the styles in the ShaePoint CSS file :
msdn.microsoft.com/.../h\
tml/ODC_SPSCustomizingSharePointSites3.asp
Just overrride the default styles with your own in your personal CSS
file. Add this in SharePoint (standard feature in the Portal configuration).
