Change URL of SharePoint Portal 2003

I'm starting to use this tool, maybe you can help me I'm tring to change
default URL http://companyweb I want to use URL for example
http://intranetcadex

WSS or SPS site? You can use traditional IIS means of changing the
domain name but SharePoint must also know about the change.
