Change DB Owner

Asked By: Joel    Date: Nov 22    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1242

Many of you are probably not DBA's but I figured I'd give it a shot.

One of the tech people deleted my domain SSP account. Now I can't access the DB
to grant ownership to someone else. No Sysadmin accounts can take ownership.

Any idea on how I can force ownership of the table to another account?

It's SQL 2008 server on it's on box.

Will re-creating the SSP account  fix it?

I was getting an error when I was trying to create a new SSP. Now
I can create a new SSP.

So I moved all associated sites over to it.

Should I leave the old SSP database on the SQL server or try to detach and
remove it? I've got space on the server.

You could make a backup, then delete it.

Well I can't delete the SSP from the Moss Admin console. The delete is greyed
out.

I have a feeling I am going to have to find a way to get ownership  of that
database.
