Category initial view -- can it be expanded?

subcategories, Category Two has fifteen, and Category Three has three.

On the initial view from the Categories dashboard, it shows all of the
subcategories for Category One and Three, since it's =< 5. It lists
"More..." under the fifth subcategory of Category Two.

Is there a way to configure it to go ahead and display more subcategories

if you go to the Embedded XSL part of the categories, you will find
this line:
<xsl:if expr="childNumber(this) <= 5;">

Change the "5" to whatever value you need.
A little after that you'll find:

<xsl:if expr="childNumber(this) == 6;">

Change that to the value you entered + 1. If you don't you will get
your full  list of categories  with the "more..." in the 6th position.
