Can't open my site

Asked By: Juan    Date: Jan 09    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2242

I'm new in SPS, and implemented the share point just 2 moths ago.

just done several testing on the SPS with 2 domain servers that integrate with
it. Below is my problem detail :

one domain server (server A without AD configuration is win NT4.0 service pack
6) that integrated with sps server has done the login and creating my site,
everything running just nice. To go in to the portal we’re using authentication
NT login with single sign-on to an internal or external SPS.

When we migrated with new server ( Server B with AD Configuration: all user from
Server A has migrated perfectly with same name and password ) we have a problem
under “My site” that showing a message “Your Personal Site can’t be created
because a site already exist with your username “, on the NT login user don’t
have any problem if they are chose a first domain (server A) for sign-in and
checking my site, but if they go with the new server (server B) to log-in the
msg will appear .

Problems :
1. User Can't access my site now when there's using the right domain. (the
message like I have mentioned )
2. When we go to the other site content and click the contact information that
related user has impacted on old domain name it goes to my personal site...
strange !!!...

Questions :

Anyone can help me with this problem and would like to share with me? Highly
appreciate your help, Based on Microsoft article
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3bEN-US%3b832863 )they said
can’t be fix except waiting for new sps hotfix .
Any possibilities that we can pull my site and move it to a new domain server
and let the portal recreate “My site” ?
